FAQ
- Any suggestion on soup or sauce?

Can be served in soup (shown in the picture at top of the page), or with soup or sauce on the side.
If served dry (steamed or fired), dumplings may use any dipping sauce, just like pierogi.
One old recipe of sauce is based on dark vinegar. Some additional ingredients can be added to fit your preference, such as diced ginger and/or garlic. Hot sauce is popular too. Pure sugar, or no sauce at all, is also an option.

- Do you use dedicated lines to manufacture your products?

Yes. We are committed to ensure the production lines are clean and sanitized before and after each SKU produced that no cross-contamination of allergen and such could occur.

- How can we identify the allergens in the products?

Our products carry 3 possible allergens, including: wheat (gluten), soybean, and shrimp. The product labels clarify the allergens by labelling CONTAINS and MAY CONTAIN statements below the ingredient list. Allergens listed in the “CONTAINS” statement refers to the allergen(s) in the product’s recipe while The “MAY CONTAIN’ statement refers to any allergen(s) not in the product’s recipe but present in the facility. We highly encourage you to always read the ingredient list as the recipe may change over time to improve the flavor of product.

- Do you have a pathogen control program?

Food safety is always our top priority. We have conducted extensive pathogen control programs on site. All the equipment and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized on a shift basis as well as all the food contact surfaces and floors. Time and temperature are also closely monitored during the production to ensure food safety and quality. Personnel hygiene is extremely vital to keep the pathogen at acceptance level. Our employees are well trained to follow the effective approaches to maintain clean and tidy. Additionally, our HACCP team is always responsible for keeping the production in a clean and safe manner.

- Is MSG safe to use? Why do you use MSG?

Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is, the sodium salt of the common amino acid glutamic acid, used as flavor enhancer. It is also naturally present in many foods including tomato and cheese. A great number of literatures and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) along with other authoritative organizations have researched, studied over time and concluded that MSG is safe to use at customary level.

We have tested the flavor of our products with and without using of MSG. The result has shown that MSG could help our product maintain palatable taste at the greatest extent. Since there is no adverse effect of using MSG at limited dosage, we therefore determined to keep MSG as part of our ingredients.

- Why the expiry date is not printed on the package?

By federal regulation, foods with a shelf life greater than 90 days are not required to be labelled with a “best before” date and storage instructions or a packaging date and durable life information. As a rule of thumb, frozen dumplings and buns have the shelf life of one year at least if stored properly under -18 ºC.

- Do you use any food preservative?

No, we do not.
